Under Pressure: Management of Glaucoma in Dogs (NYV 2024)

Dr. Shelby Reinstein, MS, DACVO will review the approach to glaucoma in dogs. She will discuss common signalment, clinical signs and diagnostic work up to identify glaucoma in dogs. Medical management and surgical options for treating glaucoma in dogs will be reviewed.

• To understand the causes for glaucoma in dogs.
• To be able to classify glaucoma as primary or secondary, and acute or chronic based upon the ophthalmic exam findings
• To be able to formulate a proper treatment plan and follow up recommendations for dogs with the various types of glaucoma.
