This session promises to be an interesting discussion about an important topic poorly understood in the veterinary workplace; the interaction between the demographics of the veterinary workforce and how veterinary work and the workplace are designed.
The discussion will focus on a better understanding of why we need to work ‘female’ and simple things we could do to facilitate this.
- Describe what a gendered workplace is and why this is important in the veterinary context
- Recognise the value of diverse teams and facilitating non-traditional ways of working
- Apply strategies to facilitate a more ‘female’ workplace
