Simple nonpharmacologic techniques (‘physical' medicine) can be implemented in almost every practice and can be utilized as a ‘team approach' using both the skills of the doctors and the technicians. Simple techniques and the science behind them will be discussed. The focus will be on rehabilitation and physical techniques that don't require drugs or equipment. - At the end of this session the attendee will be able to: 1.Identify physical medicine techniques, with a focus on rehabilitation techniques, that can easily be implemented in your practice. 2.Understand the analgesic mechanism of action of those techniques. 3.Develop a team approach to implementing the techniques |
