In this VECCS/EVECCS ECC stream lecture we focus on taking the panic out of managing the dyspnoeic patient. Learning how to stay calm when faced with a respiratory emergency. This will include the approach to the patient in respiratory distress (from front desk to triage to initial handling), how to stabilise, diagnose and treat the patient; and will cover a number of different conditions affecting the respiratory system.

Respiratory patterns - recognition and localization
Stabilization of different conditions
Therapeutic and interventional options.
