Imaging
This lecture will use case examples to give insights into why good positioning skills are vital when using radiographs for clinical diagnosis. We will look at simple tricks to help us obtain high quality radiographs and consider how the switch to digital radiography from computed radiography might require us to make some subtle changes in our image acquisition. We will also discuss how we can improve radiation safety with a few simple considerations.
- Attendees should be able to demonstrate understanding of:
- 1) Why positioning is important for diagnosis
- 2) Improvements they can make to their radiography skills for selected views
- 3) How to adapt exposures and positioning for DR imaging
