Minimizing and Managing Anesthetic Recovery Complications (WWV 2024)

Recovery from anesthesia is a time of transition. Management of patients appropriately during this period has positive impacts to outcome. The most common complications and their prevention or management will be discussed.

• Identify the common complications faced during recovery from anesthesia in dogs and cats.
• Implement management strategies to minimize these to ensure a successful outcome.
