Malassezia – Primary Pathogen or Just A Bystander? It’s Role in Canine and Feline Dermatitis and As A Zoonoses (SVS2024)

Malassezia yeasts are well-known for causing dermatitis and/or otitis externa in many mammals. They can also be associated with chronic diseases and cause serious complications, especially in humans, raising the question of whether these fungi can be transmitted between animals and their human companions.
