Imposter syndrome and compassion fatigue within consulting

This lecture will look at consulting and how we can help RVNs to feel confident in the advice they are giving to owners. It will also explain imposter syndrome and identify how we can overcome this as a consulting RVN. Moreover, it also will address compassion fatigue and look at ways in which we can prevent this from occurring (particularly when doing euthanasias) to ensure we are always protecting ourselves when faced in the public eye.

Learning Outcomes
- How do we become confident in consulting? - Imposter syndrome and looking at a questionnaire regarding how this affects us when consulting - Compassion Fatigue - Euthanasias To end – looking after ourselves as a consulting nurse and protecting ourselves from the public
