Human directed attacks from cats

Naturally self-protective in their behaviour, wary of change and in need of autonomy, cats are renowned for being tricky patients within the veterinary environment. But it isn’t just veterinary staff who sustain injuries from cats; many owners also experience attacks. This session will remind you of the reasons behind the cats’ sensitivity and propensity to exhibit defensive behaviours that enhance  its safety within the home and veterinary environment, but also of the cats’ potential to cause human directed injury in different contexts.
