This course will discuss the causes of FLUTD so we can understand how Feline Idiopathic (Stress) Cystitis fits amongst the other causes of cystitis in cats. We will then consider the many factors that may play a role in the multimodal management of FIC, including diet, behaviour, supplements, nutraceuticals and drugs, along with their evidence base. We will consider the essential roles that diet and water consumption play in reducing recurrences of FIC. We will also consider the importance of understanding the role that cat behaviour plays in this disease, and how best to improve the environment for affected cats.
