Before Brexit and Covid-19 the veterinary profession was already facing a retention crisis, fuelled by stress and burnout. To help plug the leaky bucket BVA undertook research into why vets were leaving the profession and what motivated them to stay. The answer was simple: their day to day experiences in the workplace. Improving those experiences is less straightforward so BVA developed the position and code on what makes a good veterinary workplace. In this interactive session, you’ll hear the ideas that underpin the code and hear from one JVP who has already started to implement it in her practice to find out what really works.
