Veterinary leadership should reflect the diversity, values, and realities of the profession it serves - but does it? In this session, a panel of veterinary leaders share their personal journeys, exploring what representation means to them and why it matters.
Together, we’ll examine how leadership has evolved alongside a changing profession, ask whether it has truly kept pace, and discuss the barriers that continue to limit who steps into leadership roles. Join us for an open and thought-provoking conversation about how we can build leadership that’s more inclusive, equitable, and representative of the veterinary community today.
- Reflect on how personal identity and lived experience shape leadership pathways within the veterinary profession.
- Identify key barriers to representative leadership and explore strategies to overcome them.
- Recognise the importance of inclusive leadership in driving positive change and strengthening the profession’s future.
