Fresh Science: Digging Into the Data Behind Fresh vs Processed (NYVET2025)

This presentation will focus on understanding the differences across diet types focusing on fresh food and where it fits into the feeding paradigm. Issues around digestibility and cooking temperatures will be highlighted. Further  questions regarding feed quality around issues such as heavy metal contamination, heterocyclic amines and advanced glycation end products will be discussed and how the issues around "clean feeding" need to be addressed by manufacturers and regulatory officials.
