Fractured teeth are a very incidental finding when performing routine health exams on pet dogs and cats. Occasionally, it's the primary reason why a pet presents to you in the clinic but my observation over the years is that there is still some uncertainty about when teeth require treatment and what those treatment options are. Importantly we look at the consequences of not treating teeth.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this talk delegates should have a clear understanding of the anatomy of a tooth and in particular the dentine-pulp complex. Delegates will understand endodontic disease and endodontic treatment options. Delegates should also feel far more confident interpreting clinical pictures and radiographs of fractured teeth.
