CKD vs AKI: So many markers, so little time, so much confusion!

In this session we will revisit both the historical approach and classifications for chronic and acute kidney injury. In doing so discuss updates and changes in the acute kidney & chronic kidney paradigm broadening considerations to active kidney damage. Recognizing active or acute injury and when it how it overlaps with chronic kidney disease and the is parallel to patient prognosis and outcomes focus will be placed on how to use all available and new testing options.
