Caregiver burden is an emerging area of veterinary clinical research; commonly our perception of the owner experience does not match what is reported in owner based surveys. This lecture will review the owner's perspective in managing hyperthyroidism ranging from making choices for long term medication to experiences with radioactive iodine.
Learning Outcomes
1) Delegates will have a working knowledge of the current evidence base about feline caregiver burden 2) Delegates will be aware of relevant owner based literature relating to hyperthyroidism care and treatment
