This session will provide an overview of key cardiovascular physiology relevant to anaesthetizing patients with cardiovascular disease. It will then focus on protocols and their rationale for anaesthetizing patients with common cardiac conditions. 

• Understand CVS physiology relevant to anaesthesia
• Know which anaesthesia protocol to use for patients with mitral valve disease
