Nursing Management of the Ventilator Patient

Patients that require mechanical ventilation are often anesthetized and critically ill. High-quality nursing care is required to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Attendees of this session will leave understanding the nursing care that is required of mechanically ventilated patients, as well as how to wean and discontinue mechanical ventilation.
