How to Get the Best Out of Your In-House Clinical Pathology Tests

In-house clinical pathology is now commonplace compared to 20-30 years ago when all samples were sent to reference laboratories. This shift has resulted in veterinary practices requiring their staff to have extra training in laboratory methods and interpretation. This lecture will help you understand the benefits and restrictions of in-house clinical pathology, specifically core haematology, biochemistry and urinalysis, and to weigh the benefits of each before determining which to request. It will also make sure that you as clinicians can get the most from your clinical pathology samples processed in-house.
