Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a common problem in first opinion practice and potentially is expensive and stressful to manage. This is equally true in the private and charity sectors. In this talk, the speakers discuss how DM is diagnosed in dogs in the PDSA charity situation, how the use of a protocol is beneficial and show evidence as to the efficacy of this approach and how it may be also applied to private practice especially where client funds are limited.
- Share PDSA's pragmatic approach to DM and show evidence for its excellent clinical outcomes.
- Show how our approach can contribute to animal wellbeing when financial resources and/or time are limited
- Help you to reduce your stress levels when managing diabetics
