Emergency Management of Seizures (WWV 2024)

This session explores the recent ACVIM Consensus Statement for Status Epileptics and focuses on practical highlights for use in general practice. This session will highlight a stepwise approach, indications for more aggressive therapy, and discuss differences between different medication choices, as well as cluster seizure protocols.

• Improve practitioner comfort when engaging in decision-making for approaching seizures in emergency management.
• Equip audience members with different options and modalities that can be applied to a variety of varying seizure situations
• Describe different protocols for at-home therapy for cluster seizure patients.
