BOAS patients now make up a significant proportion of the canine population, and frequently require anaesthesia either for surgical management of their airways or other unrelated conditions. Regardless of the procedure being performed, these animals are at higher risk of adverse events in the peri-anaesthetic period. This lecture will discuss how to minimise problems developing when anaesthetising BOAS patients, and describe how to manage them should they occur.
