We will cover why haematology is mandatory in any clinicopathologic evaluation. It is of significant value in sick patients, but it also provides a wealth of information during routine wellness visits. For example, the presence of anaemia, leukocytosis, presence of neoplastic cells, or thrombocytopenia should guide the clinician to follow additional diagnostic steps
