    This session will cover an approach to the most common bird and reptile presentations and the species differences that can make these challenging cases. Case scenarios will be used to demonstrate common reasons why things can go wrong and how to avoid them. Species differences in therapeutics will also be discussed, alongside some tips and tricks to make managing these patients easier.

    • -Understand how to handle and hospitalise avian and reptile patients, taking into account species specific differences.
    • -Understand the most clinically significant anatomical and physiological differences when dealing with avian and reptile patients
    • -Know which drugs to reach for when formulating a therapeutic plan for an avian or reptile patient and which route to give them
    • -Understand the most common reasons why things go wrong and how to avoid them.
