Cushing's syndrome is the third most commonly diagnosed endocrinopathy in dogs, with a prevelance of around 0.2% and is associated with a poorer qualty of life (QoL). Trilostane is the most commonly prescribd treated for Cushing's syndrome in the UK, and this treatment improves but does not normalise QoL. This lecture will present possible explanations why this treatment does not return QoL to normal from the viewpoint of each of the three different presenters.
