What's that sound? When to be worried about murmurs

Heart murmurs are frequently found on physical examination of otherwise healthy patients, but it can be challenging to determine the next step. Should every patient be scheduled for an echocardiogram, or is monitoring appropriate?

• This talk summarizes the diagnosis of heart murmurs in puppies, kittens, and adult patients and how to prioritize further testing.
