Canine Atopic Dermatitis (cAD) is a chronic common pruritic skin disease that can impact on the welfare and quality of life of our patients and also the caregiver. It is a diagnosis of exclusion and other causes of pruritus and skin inflammation must be ruled out before we can obtain the correct diagnosis. Dogs with cAD will need continued support and re-assessment to allow for treatment modifications and skin flares to be addressed.  Within the veterinary practice team, all team members play a vital role in supporting dogs with cAD and the caregiver on this journey.
This session will cover the management of these cases covering topical and systemic therapy. The use of proactive therapy is essential and will be discussed, along with the importance of adjunct therapy.  Using case examples and interactive material, these elements will be discussed to provide a practical approach to helping you with your chronic cAD cases.

Learning objectives:
-    Systemic treatment options for cAD and when they are appropriate
-    How to be proactive with therapy
-    Management of flares
-    Importance of adjunct therapy
