Immune Mediate Haemolytic Anaemia (IMHA) is the commonest haematologic condition encountered in small animal practice. Survival rates have been variably reported from 40-85% with many treatment options described. This session aims to review the treatment of IMHA and provide a rational approach to choosing the best treatment for individual patients.
- Correct diagnosis of IMHA
- Appropriate selection of immunosuppressive medication for cats and dogs with IMHA
- Appropriate selection of anti-thrombotic medication for dogs with IMHA
- Recognising the need for adjunctive treatment of cats and dogs with IMHA
- Long germ medication adjustment in IMHA
