The availability of targeted electrochemotherapy to provide direct delivery of chemotherapy using a transient pulse to open the cell membrane has revolutionized cancer therapy. With advanced electrodes now allowing access to bone as well as the nasal cavity, we have successfully treated cancers that have otherwise been resistant to current therapies. This presentation will discuss the technology of electroporation-based cancer treatments, specifically involving cancer of bone (osteosarcoma and oral squamous cell carcinoma) and nasal cancer (carcinoma, sarcoma and lymphoma). This lecture is crucial for progressive veterinarians seeking up-to-date knowledge on advanced cancer therapies for their patients.
