Raising and Caring for Backyard Chickens from A to Z (NYVET2025)

This lecture will cover all the basics of raising backyard chickens from the newborn chick stage through the layer stage and beyond. Specifically, we will cover housing, nutrition, and behavior at the various life stages and how to promote the health of backyard chickens at these various life stages. We will also cover how to provide enrichment for chickens and what supplements to offer to maximize the potential for egg laying.
