Radiologist Tips for Interpreting Pulmonary Patterns (NYV 2024)

Pulmonary patterns are the bane of most clinician's existence. There is so much overlap and the question is what does it tell us? This lecture will focus on the types of pulmonary patterns seen on radiographs and break down the diseases into 5 main categories. It will also provide tips and guidance on how to interpret pulmonary disease and characterize them so that you can confidently undertake next steps to confirm the differential diagnoses. Pulmonary disease can be tricky, but after this lecture, the fuzziness of pulmonary patterns should be much clearer through numerous case examples.

• Understand the 5 broad differential diagnoses for pulmonary disease
• Understand cranioventral, caudodorsal and diffuse distribution of pulmonary disease
• Know the difference between heart failure, interstitial pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, systemic inflammatory response syndrome, electrocution and other diseases
