Photobiomodulation: Laser Therapy in Veterinary Medicine, more than Physiotherapy (LVS 2023)

In this lecture, the science behind photobiomodulation (laser) therapy (PBMT) will be discussed. Principles of how this non-invasive modality can decrease inflammation, treat pain, and benefit healing in a variety of conditions in veterinary medicine will be covered. Recent research will be presented alongside real world cases treated by veterinarians world-wide. The attendee will have an understanding of the science of photobiomodulation and examples of cases which will apply to their own daily veterinary practice.
