Nursing of the acute abdomen

In this VECCS/EVECCS international ECC stream session the diverse nature of the acute abdomen patient will be reviewed at presentation through to discharge from a nursing perspective. This will include a review of patient monitoring, utilising pain scoring to optimise multi-modal analgesia and nutrition for the nursing team to develop skills and confidence when presented with these complex patients to get the best outcomes.
