In this seminar we will review the clinical spectrum of pancreatitis in dogs and how this can impact a dogs treatment plan. Clinical cases will be used to demonstrate how a treatment plan can be tailored to each dog. We will review traditional supportive and symptomatic care while also reviewing novel treatments such as Panoquell-CA1 (Fuzapladib sodium for injection).
- Understand supportive and symptomatic care for the management of pancreatitis in dogs.
- Understand the mechanism of action of Panoquell-CA1 (Fuzapladib sodium for injection) and evaluate evidence supporting its use in dogs with clinical signs of pancreatitis.
- Understand what factors influence whether a patient may be suitable for inpatient vs outpatient management of pancreatitis.
