Kidney and cardiac disease-what the anaesthesia nurse needs to know

This session will be divided into two sections; the first section will focus on the anaesthesia of patients with renal disease and the second section will focus on the anaesthesia of patients with cardiac disease. Both sections will include a brief overview of renal and cardiac disease in veterinary patients. We will then discuss the impact of anaesthesia on patients with renal and cardiac dysfunction and explore the nurse's role in the provision of safe anaesthesia to these patients.
