In the last decade, the veterinary profession as a whole is realised just how common dental disease is. There's increased awareness and perhaps increased incidence of dental disorders that affect the young mouth. Something I see on our BVDA Facebook page time and time again are questions about deciduous teeth so this should be a very helpful topic to focus on. We'll look at common diseases of deciduous teeth, their importance in understanding and treating malocclusions and when retained deciduous teeth are a problem. Perhaps most importantly, we'll look at how and when we would consider extracting deciduous teeth.
