Evidence-based treatment of Equine asthma

The presentation will summarize available evidence for treatment of Equine asthma, focusing on the use of systemic and inhaled corticosteroids with an outlook into recently investigated other therapeutic options.

Learning Outcomes
• Appreciate differences in effectiveness and side effects between different systemically used and inhaled corticosteroids. • Chose most appropriate treatment for cases in acute exacerbation and for maintenance therapy. • Gain an understanding of effectiveness of recently investigated and upcoming treatment options.
