Embedding sustainability in farm practice

Sustainable farming systems are essential in tackling the climate and ecological crises, and the vet-led team has an essential role to play. Veterinary professionals have a unique One Health perspective regarding the interplay between animal, human and environmental health. We have a position of responsibility and influence and the potential to be a leading force for sustainability. As a profession, we can have an impact at several levels; as individuals in the way we live our lives, as veterinary businesses, and as trusted advocates advising clients on many aspects of sustainability from optimising health, to medicine use to regenerative agriculture. This presentation will introduce these various areas, explain what Vet Sustain is doing to inspire and enable veterinary professionals in this area, and signpost further information.
