Keratoconjunctivitis sicca, more commonly known as dry eye disease, is a very common but frequently underdiagnosed cause of ophthalmic disease in canine patients. During this lecture, we will examine common clinical signs and causes of dry eye disease, as well as treatment protocols for long - term management of these cases. We will also establish why recognizing and treating dry eye disease is paramount to prevention of blindness and canine ocular health.
