Crossing the Threshold: When Acute Pain Turns Chronic

This second lecture in the series of three will cover the pathophysiology of acute pain and how if not promptly managed can lead to pathophysiological and neuroplastic changes associated with maladaptive pain. We will discuss how to identify cases at risk of progression to maladaptive pain, patient monitoring, multimodal pain management, team approaches and client communication.
