IMHA is a condition that many veterinary nurses in practice will encounter in their career. As competent nurses we should understand the pathophysiology that is associated with the presentation of the patient that we are nursing in order to be able to offer the best nursing care. Arming ourselves with the most current information available relating to the treatment and care of patients with IMHA, means that we can maintain a high standard of nursing and allow ourselves to be the best nurses we can be.
