Ultrasound has a common misconception that if a veterinary nurse carries this out that it breaches the code of conduct regarding making a diagnosis.....WRONG. In this presentation will be how veterinary nurses can get involved in the useful imaging modality and how veterinary surgeons can effectively delegate this task to nursing teams.
- To be able to confidently recognise normal organ structures on ultrasound examinations
- To understand what a veterinary nurse can & can't do with ultrasound
- To recognise some basic abnormalities on abdominal & thoracic ultrasound scans
