This presentation will describe the myriad of diseases that brachycephalic dogs are predisposed to and, therefore, what investigations should be undertaken to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the afflictions of each individual patient. The airway compromise is well documented but frequently these dogs also suffer from ocular disease, dermatological disease, external and middle ear disease, gastrointestinal disease as well as a predisposition to neurological disease and orthopedic conditions. With a focus on airway management but also the value of a global approach to the brachycephalic dog, the presentation will concentrate on what can be done to improve the quality of life brachycephalic dogs have.
