As we increasingly recognise the importance of the microbiome in determining gut (and host) health, means to positively manipulate the microbiome are needed. This session will discuss strategies to manage acute and chronic enteropathies without recourse to antibiotics. The role of prebiotics, probiotics and faecal matter transplantation will be presented.
