In this lecture, we will focus on the role of poor boundaries in the level of compassion fatigue and burnout. We often focus on the negative aspects of the field, like euthanasia and moral stress, but here we will direct our sights back to ourselves. Poor boundaries and communication skills contribute heavily to professional stress. Building boundaries is an extremely difficult task, but one which should lead to a significant reduction in stress at work.
