Hybrid circular-linear external skeletal fixators are a useful and economical option for fracture management in dogs and cats. This lecture will review hybrid components and their application for the stabilization of appendicular long bone fractures in companion animals. Use of hybrid constructs for the stabilization of juxta-articular fractures and minimally invasive applications will be emphasized.
