Acute head tilts, ataxia and nystagmus are common clinical presentations of vestibular disease in dogs and cats. We will review the cause of these clinical signs and specifically review the differentials for peripheral and central vestibular dysfunction once we have discussed how to localize disease to these 2 areas. Management of the common causes of vestibular dysfunction will be detailed.
