What do the waves mean? Do you have an ECG connected, but do not know how to interpret the trace? Or do you have an ECG machine that is sitting in the cupboard gathering dust!? This lecture will help you utilise electrocardiography to your advantage during anaesthesia and incorporate it into a useful monitoring tool.We will overview how an ECG works, where to connect the leads in order to get a good trace and what a normal trace is showing us. Once we know what is normal, we can then then look at what is abnormal by looking at some case scenarios.
