Summary of the technique for distal limb ultrasonography including tips for accurate assessment of challenging structures. Commonly identified pathologies will be discussed and recent advances in distal limb ultrasonography will be covered, including dynamic ultrasonography of the digital flexor tendon sheath and power Doppler of the suspensory ligament branches.
