Photobiomodulation: Laser therapy in veterinary medicine, more than physiotherapy (LVS 2022)

In this lecture, the science behind photobiomodulation (laser therapy) will be discussed. Principles of how this non-invasive modality can decrease inflammation, treat pain, and benefit healing in a variety of conditions in veterinary medicine will be covered. Recent research will be presented alongside real-world cases treated by veterinarians worldwide. The attendee will have an understanding of the science of photobiomodulation and examples of cases which will apply to their own daily veterinary practice.

• The attendee will gain an understanding of the principles of PBM and how to dose for a variety of common conditions in veterinary medicine
• The attendee will gain awareness of recent publications utilizing PBM
